5.0 out of 5 stars Great for airport security and better and more stylish than velcro!, August 24, 2016

I love these laces! I have multiple "systems" in different colors on a good amount of my shoes and not just on athletic/running shoes. They're fantastic for airport security or if you're just too lazy/busy to tie your shoes. Once you get them fitting how you want, you'll never have to worry about them again. I will say that getting them just right is a bit tedious because you will want them fitting perfectly before you do any trimming to size. Once you cut the laces down you will not be able to re-lace your shoes with those laces because you'll be cutting off the plastic piece that makes that possible. So, take your time. I recommend lacing them with your foot in the shoe (with socks), then stand up and walk around a bit to see if they're too loose or too snug. My feet swell a bit with a lot of activity, so I don't have mine super-snug. If you're worried about adjustment later, just don't cut them too short. I have these on a couple pairs of PF Flyers, a couple pairs of Chuck... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Best "no-tie" laces on the market, May 2, 2016

I found out about these laces after the Kickstarter campaign ended, so I ordered three pair directly from the Xpand website. To my surprise, they arrived a couple days later. I watched the video on the Xpand website to make sure I was installing the laces correctly. That was very helpful, as I did not have any issues with installation afterward.

These laces replaced a pair of Lock Laces, which I have been using for the past couple years. I was never really happy with Lock Laces, as they had the large mechanism for adjusting tightness. It just flopped around on the outside of my shoe, and when I secured it under the laces, it would dig into the top of my foot. So I was very eager to try these.

Here is my experience so far... I only installed them in two pair of shoes since the third pair is not used as often. The first pair are Nike Flyknit Lunar3. I use those shoes daily, but never for running. Since I would not be using them for running, I wanted a... Read more

First off we LOVE these laces! Our 10 year old son is autistic and has dyspraxia, which causes him to have gross and fine motor challenges. No matter how hard he tries, he can NOT lace or tie shoes :(
Because of the Xpand Lacing System, we were able to get him his FIRST pair of "lace up" shoes....bright red Adidas that he picked out! At first it took him a few attempts to get his new shoes (with Xpand Laces) on, but now he pulls them on and off with ease. These laces have helped our son become more independent, gain confidence and "fit in" with his typical peers!
